The West Shore Harrisburg Elks Lodge is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Grant Writer to help our lodge identify, research, and apply for available grant opportunities that support our mission of strengthening community relations and serving those in need.
This volunteer opportunity is ideal for someone with strong writing, research, and organizational skills who is passionate about community service and making a local impact.
Responsibilities Include:
- Researching available grant opportunities for our lodge
- Preparing and submitting grant applications
- Tracking deadlines and required documentation
- Working with lodge leadership to identify community needs and project goals
- Helping secure funding to support local outreach, veterans programs, and charitable initiatives
Grant Opportunities May Include:
- Beacon Grants – Supporting projects that actively serve local community needs
- Gratitude Grants – Available to lodges meeting per-member giving goals through the Elks National Foundation
- Freedom Grants – Funding for projects benefiting veterans and active-duty military members in need
These grants can provide meaningful resources to help our lodge expand programs, improve community engagement, and continue making a positive difference in the local area.
