Community Investments

In 2018, The West Shore Elks (WSE) donated more than $92,000 to over 60 local charities and various non-profit organizations.  WSE lodge members are continually working to strengthen our community not just with money but also with time.

Every month, the Veterans Committee leads the charge with VA hospital visits, collecting donations for homeless vets, and paying for homeless vet lunches and so much more.

WSE also partners with non-profits working for the social good which includes donations to Domestic Violence of Central PA, Four Diamonds and American Trauma Society just to name a few.

Elks also value the youth of Central PA.  In addition to hosting Youth Day Celebration, we donate to numerous Scout troops, support associations and youth sport leagues.

The pride and joy of every Pennsylvania Lodge is our state major project, Pennsylvania Home Services.  PA Elks lodges employ several highly trained nurses who give in-home assistance to people with developmental disabilities which include, but are not limited to, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, mental retardation, speech, hearing and visual disorders.  Click to learn more
